Greenhouse Torture

Today I've really been itching to take photos outside of the home. Winter always leaves me feeling pent up and desperate for the sunshine. Since it's still pretty chilly to be outside for long periods of time I opted for the BYUI greenhouse. Going into it I was so excited to take photos of plants and hopefully get some new portraits of the kids. When we first walked into the greenhouse a bird squawked and Weston was forever worried about the bird attacking him, and Evie followed his lead. I had to promise there would be no tigers in this greenhouse(I'm guessing the setting was giving Wes some Jungle Book fears) for the kids to even step inside. I was only able to get the few photos I did because I told them I would give them suckers once we got to the car. I support bribery. Next time I hope we are all more emotionally prepared for a greenhouse visit.

A fishy fall morning

Just over a week ago we woke up to SNOW.
In OCTOBER.
By the time I bundled up the kids, grabbed my camera and headed out most was melted.
(I'm not complaining)
While driving around town Weston told us all of his plans on who he wanted to throw snowballs at once there was more snow. Watch out Grandma(s) and Aunt Dee Dee, he was mentioning your names a lot. haha!

My two little people

Being a parent is hard. Like REALLY hard.
Some days run smoothly but most days kick my booty.
I don't think I've ever worked such long and demanding hours in my life.
BUT, yes, like many others, I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.
As much as these two fight (usually over food or buzz lightyear) I'm still so happy to be their Mom.
I get the feeling we were all meant to be together.
I mean, we all really like Usher's ABC song.
That has got to mean something....

twenty-six

Last month I turned 26.
I ate too many cupcakes and was the bowling date winner.
This year is already off to a great start.

An evening family walk

Tonight's family walk was just what I needed.
We have joked that Weston would be the happiest little kid to wake up Christmas morning with a bag full of rocks. There are very few things he loves more than throwing rocks into water.
When we got home Weston told us he was a little scared while on the walk, when we asked him what he was worried about he replied "the little birds." We tried really hard not too laugh, it was so sweet. When I was taking these photos he was really on edge because there were birds snapping twigs behind him. It's funny how he does not hesitate to climb up and jump off the highest thing in the room, but when it comes to "little birds" things get serious.
Here's to squeezing in as many family walks as we can before the snow comes.
