Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was spent camping with friends.
The weekend reminded me to love where I live and to take advantage of it more.
I'm so excited to return to this location as the leaves continue to change.
Fall is coming!

Fun Farm Bridge

Last week Chris and I jumped off of the Fun Farm Bridge.
I jumped once and Chris jumped three times.
The water temperature really wasn't too bad, but the height was something else.
It took about 5 minutes of standing on the edge for me to finally jump.
Chris kept saying 1........2......... and right before 3 I would say "I'm scared", so he would start over. That went on for about five minutes.

Have you ever been so scared you can't scream?
This had only happened to me in dreams before this jump.
When we made the leap I let out a scream then about half way down it just stopped.
I couldn't make a sound.
It was weird and freaky.

Part of me wants to go back and be more brave.

A midweek adventure with the Sherwoods

Yesterday we went on a hike with the Sherwood family.
This hike came at the perfect time. Exploring this new place was such a nice break from school and a nice reminder to enjoy Idaho. I've had a love-hate relationship with Eastern Idaho for the last four years. For the most part it breaks down to me hating winter, but loving all the other seasons here. As more time passes I am seeing more and more beautiful pieces of Idaho. It's days like yesterday that remind me that I live in a beautiful state.

Thank you Brit and Garrett for showing us such a cool place.
And thank you Sal for being ridiculously cute all the time.

Weekend Adventure

Friday morning we woke up around 7:30am. Around 8:00 I remembered that it was a free day at Yellowstone National Park. We were in the park by 11:00. We spent our time in Yellowstone waiting for Old Faithful, walking around geysers and soaking up the sun. On our way home we hunted and hunted for a camping spot. We were planning on camping in Yellowstone, but only Mammoth Hot Springs was opened. All of the camping spots between West Yellowstone and St. Anthony were closed. We were sad.... BUT THEN we remembered it was $5 Friday at our local bowling alley. We bowled three games, Chris won all three. After we were all bowled out Chris suggested we explore a road near our house. So we did. Lo and behold there was free camping at the end of that 15 mile dirt road. We set up our tent real quick and Chris made a fire. I love him.

We were up by 6:30am the next morning and started exploring the campgrounds. We saw a variety of birds, four moose and six deer.

Talk about a fun weekend.
This is Chris saying, "I'm cold"
