This is my husband and he's the best husband in the world.
With the temperature rising more talk about hiking/camping has been surfacing.
Today Chris surprised me and bought this for our future adventures.

He really is the coolest and the best.
AND he's handsome.

Okay, I'm done.

A little place called Ashton, ID

Last year, Chris and I took a random drive to a corner of Yellowstone and found this little town on our way called Ashton. We stopped at a drive-in called Frostop and ordered a rootbeer float and fries. Holy Hannah were they good! Recently we revisited and were not disappointed. Chris had a hot dog and I had some chicken strips. If you order some chicken strips when you go don't forget to ask for some ranch dip(no ranch should be that good).

I'm part of the instax club

We bought ours from Walmart and we are very happy.
I give it five thumbs up for being a fun/cool camera. I give it one thumb down for being so fun/cool that I want to use it all the time.
This is my very first instax photo.
The puppy brought me a yogurt lid.

Noah is 1!

Last weekend our nephew turned ONE.
A lot has happened in Noah's lifetime.
Things like me marrying his uncle Chris and becoming "auntie Mel."

Happy Birthday cute baby.

The restless mind

Sometimes I feel like my mind never takes a break.
During the day my mind is running around thinking about school, food, photos, cameras, family, food, friends, art, the world, summer, history, the gospel, camping and swimming. Then, when I finally lay down for the day and fall asleep my mind gets busy imagining the weirdest of dreams(as in I had a dream two nights ago that I was fighting off possums. I hate possums!), leaving me exhausted when I wake up just to start thinking all day again. It's a vicious cycle. Poor me. not really.

Some of my current reoccurring thoughts include:
- What will I name this blog after I graduate college... which is in four months. Any ideas?
- How does one switch their photo business to film without going broke?
- What will I do with myself after I graduate?
- How did the pioneers do it?
- Where's my chap stick?
and
- What's the next meal?

Even though thinking can be exhausting, I'm grateful for it.
It reminds me I'm alive.
