A fishy fall morning

Just over a week ago we woke up to SNOW.
In OCTOBER.
By the time I bundled up the kids, grabbed my camera and headed out most was melted.
(I'm not complaining)
While driving around town Weston told us all of his plans on who he wanted to throw snowballs at once there was more snow. Watch out Grandma(s) and Aunt Dee Dee, he was mentioning your names a lot. haha!

My two little people

Being a parent is hard. Like REALLY hard.
Some days run smoothly but most days kick my booty.
I don't think I've ever worked such long and demanding hours in my life.
BUT, yes, like many others, I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.
As much as these two fight (usually over food or buzz lightyear) I'm still so happy to be their Mom.
I get the feeling we were all meant to be together.
I mean, we all really like Usher's ABC song.
That has got to mean something....

twenty-six

Last month I turned 26.
I ate too many cupcakes and was the bowling date winner.
This year is already off to a great start.

An evening family walk

Tonight's family walk was just what I needed.
We have joked that Weston would be the happiest little kid to wake up Christmas morning with a bag full of rocks. There are very few things he loves more than throwing rocks into water.
When we got home Weston told us he was a little scared while on the walk, when we asked him what he was worried about he replied "the little birds." We tried really hard not too laugh, it was so sweet. When I was taking these photos he was really on edge because there were birds snapping twigs behind him. It's funny how he does not hesitate to climb up and jump off the highest thing in the room, but when it comes to "little birds" things get serious.
Here's to squeezing in as many family walks as we can before the snow comes.

A passing storm in B&W

Yesterday the kids and I went on a little drive to get out of the house and we timed it perfectly with a passing hail storm. The kids loved the excitement of the high winds and hail pounding on their windows. I loved the creative break during the day. Win-win.

Pause VI

It has been awhile! Like over a year-awhile, yikes.
Today I have been busy updating this blog and my photography blog (check out the icon on the right) and my house is proof. It's amazing what two kids can do to a house in a day.

This is Scout. He is almost 5 months old.
Puppies. Are. Hard.
Something about house training a puppy while potty training a toddler.
We did not think that one through....
Since keeping him outside during the day we've all gotten along much better. He has more space to roam, and I have one less thing to manage in the home. Now onto figuring out what the arrangement will be once it gets too cold to have him outside during the day. Any tips?
