A lot to say and share

I have lots of thoughts I want to express and photos to share.
I'll start off with some fall photos.

I took these only about a week ago.
While taking photos I have moments of getting up close and personal with nature. Laying in dirt, climbing up trees and balancing on rocks.
The things I will do for a photo.
I also have great moments of walking away from the scene to get the bigger picture.
Both perspectives are special. Taking the time to appreciate the little things is calming. When I look at the big picture my mind explodes from the greatness of it all. In a good way, of course.
I wish I could put into words how I feel about nature better.
Just know that I love it.

Autumn

Autumn has fallen upon Rexburg.
Today the high was 56 degrees with a generous breeze.
That rhymes.
The trees are loaded with yellows and the ground will be soon.
Today when I was having some alone time with my camera I thought about the things I want to do.
I really want to focus on exploring the places around myself.
Sometimes I may think I have photographed every corner of Rexburg and even some of the next city over but I know there are more secret spots to be found in this little town.
I want to find and see new things in this familiar place.
What do you want to do this season?

This video makes me happy.

Targhee National Forest

Last Friday Chris and I decided to get in a car.
We drove East.
We took a right.
Have you been here before?
Nope.
Cool.
We see a sign for a "cave".
Let's go there.
Trees!
SO MANY and they are yellow!
a long dirt road.
was that cattle?
A sign welcoming us into Yellowstone National Park.
Where are we?
Did we leave Idaho?
I don't want to leave this new place.
Drooling in awe and happiness.
Remembering that we have prepaid tickets for an event in 2 hours.
We need to make it back in time.
Pass a giant mug of rootbeer sign on highway.
We must go there.
Eat tots and inhale rootbeer floats.
Happy and full.

That is the readers digest version of this trip to Targhee National Forest.
Enjoy.

The Longest Blog Post Of All Time

Are you ready for 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 photos?
I hope so.
In 1992 we were in the Merced Sun-Star parade of babies section for Easter. As in our photos were right next to each others on a whole page full of babies. What are the odds?
Our parents didn't even know each other! Crazy right?
November 15, 2009 we started dating.
From January-July 2010 we had two 3 month breaks of not seeing each other while I was up attending school at BYUI. Thank goodness for skype!
September 2010 Chris left to serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was called to the Hartford, Connecticut mission. During this time we communicated by letters.
August 24, 2012 Chris came home from his mission!

----------------------------------------------
And this is what happened on Wednesday, August 29, 2012...
We went on a double date to Pinecrest. After hiking for about 20 minutes the group split up. Chris and I headed towards some water to cool down in. It was here that he proposed and I said yes! It was perfect. Afterwards we hiked back to the car. I think we stopped every 5 minutes to look at the ring on my finger and say "Dude, we are getting married!" or just "Dude!" We had some pizza from heaven for dinner, walked around some more, then headed home.
Hands down, the best day ever.
The giant rock at the bottom of the next photo is where it all went down.

And that's that.
We will be getting sealed in the Fresno Temple on December 21.
:)
